MIRAGE is audio-visual poetry evolving through a realvideo feedback loop of a gallery space, and is the work of Motherboard with Gisle Frøysland and BEK.

MIRAGE is an installation where gallery visitors are actively involved in creating the poetry, entering the frame-within-frame effect of the realvideo loop, as their image and sound is recycled, echoed and layered in a time delay generated by the speed of the internet transmission and reception. As with mirages in analogue deserts, special conditions are necessary for them to appear.

When you view MIRAGE via the internet, you will be an observer or a witness to the performative live event taking place in the connected space of the gallery.
