PER PLATOU NOMINATED FOR THE NUUG [Norwegian UNIX User Group] AWARD
Per has been nominated as a candidate for this honourly award by Thomas Gramstad who describes Per like this (quickly translated from Norwegian):Per Platou is a musician who promotes open standards and formats and "free music" philosphy in and through his work, notably with the projects "Motherboard" and "Nood", but also through interviews and public statements in media and via current net sites, in opposition to the music industrys' attempts to impose technical and legal obstructions regarding the ownership and distribution of music. He therefore represents "free music" philosophy in an arena and environment that is not ususally thought of in connection with "free software".
