AROMA SYSTEM FOR THE EMOTION ORGAN
JUNE 2006
Marcus Martinuzzi entered my studio with his construction for the aroma dispensing system of The Emotion Organ. Simply beautiful!

He showed me how he had to - very precisely - adjust the construction of each of the eight airbrush guns to allow the push-type solenoids to push down on the airbrush gun valves in just the right position. It was more work than he had first envisaged. We fixed the two stands to the organ and tested each gun. It worked beautifully.
His design also allows for the rotation of each stand to be adjusted, as well as the angle of the airbrush guns and the ammount of aroma oil that's sprayed out when electricity is applied to the solenoids. I am also happy about the aesthetics of the stands. They resemble candelabras, the "Black Knight" logo on each solenoid are visible, as is the small movement of the solenoids when they are activated.
What remains now is to hook up the custom-made circuit board (designed and constructed by Erich Berger with the help of Simon Steggell earlier this year - see link below) that will feed the signals via the Lanbox to the solenoids to allow each airbrush gun to be controlled individually.
