MEETING WITH RUNAR HODNE AND PER PLATOU
SUBJECT: "IKON"

Motherboard's grant application to Arts Council Norway for our next theatre production "Ikon" has been successful. Per and I therefore took a 2 day trip to Åberg, Denmark (where the director, Runar Hodne, is currently working) to discuss collaborative and conceptual strategies. "Ikon" will be shown at Grusomhetens Teater, Oslo in December 2005.

Here's Runar's short bio:

Educated at UiO (Cand. Mag. med mellomfag Kunsthistorie) The National Academy of Dramatic Art where he studied stage direction. Has directed and photographed several music videos and shortfilms; PUCK (NRK2 96), photographer of the film “Halvveis til Haugesund” (directed by H. Ø. Lund 96). Wrote and directed “Mot Moskva” with Jo Strømgren (Nordic Film 03) Has set up, amongst others, “Nokon Kjem til å Komme” (National Theatre 01), “Blod” (DNS 02), “Vildmåken” (National Theatre 02), “Seie-seiarens Song” (DNT 03) and “Fruen Fra Havet” (National Theatre 04). Runar has functioned as a consultant in several Motherboard productions, most recently in the development of the manuscript for “Game Set Match” (04). Runar will be responsible for manuscript development and direction of Ikon.

Following this meeting a new project description was written including notions of the networked theatre and synaesthesia.
