FELLOWSHIP MEETING/SEMINAR
Voksenåsen Conference centre, Oslo
14 - 15 MARCH 2005
I attended the winter meeting for The Programme for Research Fellowships in
the Arts, a compulsary part of the programme attended by candidates, supervisors,
board members and other observers.
The first day kicked off with a workshop about how to present ourselves and
our projects in the public arena. The first exercise involved writing a press
release for our finished artworks - a hypothetic situation at the current
state of time, as the projects are not yet complete. Secondly, we were each
subjected to a simulated TV interview where we were questioned about our artworks.
The course was led by Anders Cappelen.
The first part of the second day was dedicated to project presentations by
new candidates, myself included, and updates from those who had been on the
program longer. After lunch a discussion was initiated regarding how and if
one can speak about art in terms of quality, followed up by a round of discussions
about the final evaluation process.
